Exciting Opportunity for Sixth Formers: Join the GivingTime Programme

Our sixth form students now have the incredible opportunity to participate in the GivingTime programme, a unique initiative that combines professional coaching with community volunteering. This programme, offered by the charity GivingTime, aims to support students in their transition from education to the workplace.

Through the GivingTime programme, students will receive up to six one-on-one professional coaching sessions. In return, they are required to volunteer at least six hours of their time to a cause that matters to them and their community. This approach not only helps students develop essential skills such as self-awareness, confidence, and resourcefulness but also fosters a sense of civic responsibility and community building.

The programme operates entirely on a voluntary basis, with coaches, students, and schools all contributing their time free of charge. This is a fantastic chance for our sixth formers to gain valuable insights, connect with professionals, and make a meaningful impact in their communities.

Miss Hornby, Head of Sixth Form, expressed her enthusiasm for the programme: "This is an extremely valuable and exciting way for our students to be rewarded for their contributions to our school community and the wider community in Wisbech. Having access to these professionals is a great opportunity for our students and will help them achieve their future career goals."

We encourage all eligible students to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to enhance their personal and professional development while giving back to the community. For more information, visit the GivingTime website.
