Fen Song returns to Thomas Clarkson Academy

Pupils from nine Wisbech primary schools visited Thomas Clarkson Academy to perform the second show under the Fen Song project today.

We hosted the first Fen Song performance, featuring children from Peckover, Leverington, Alderman Payne, Wisbech St Mary, Murrow, Guyhirn, Burrowmoor and All Saints primary schools, in our theatre in March.

At today’s show pupils from Friday Bridge, Elm Road, Orchards, Elm, St Peters, Kinderley, Gorefield, Beaupre and Ramnoth primary schools performed the show to an audience of parents.

The show was a performance of a series of scenes inspired by Don Quixote which was led by musical director Claire Bloor and Jen Miles. Claire is animateur in residence for early years at the City of London Sinfonia and studied voice and flute at the Royal Academy of Music.

Fen Song was funded by Cambridgeshire County Council’s cultural fund.
