Our Year 8 rounders team won the title of School Games 2013 winners and county champions this term.

The team worked their way through the heats of the contest to reach the final county tournament, the Level 3 Sainsbury’s school games.

The TCA team faced students from schools in the Peterborough, South Cambridgeshire, Cambridge and Huntingdonshire areas in the pool stage.

Teacher Amy Anderson said: “Led by captain Livvi Williams, TCA put in a solid performance throughout the tournament all the way to the final, against St Bedes.  

“All of the girls were focussed and driven to perform well. There was good batting from Ellie Nobbs and Abi Pittam, and tremendous fielding from Susan Farg, Charlotte Cameron and Cailyn Bendall.

“The team were victorious in their effort, making the Year 8 rounders team undefeated for the season, alongside their crown of School Games 2013 Winners and County Champions.”
