Quick success for Enrichment runners

Members of TCA’s new running club did themselves and the school proud when they competed in their first 3k race.

Eleanor Carr and James Shelly took part in the race organised by Bushfield Joggers in Peterborough, and after just 2 weeks of training they both finished in around 15 minutes.

Ann Trett, who runs the group, said: “The determination from both was amazing. James had a plan to stay focussed, to keep with a steady pace and to have a sprint finish.  Eleanor’s plan was to ‘just finish’ which she achieved with a super sprint finish leaving me behind!”

The running club is one of the many Enrichment activities offered to student in Period 6. All runners, from beginners to experiences are welcome to attend every Friday.
