TCA students celebrate A Level success

Thomas Clarkson Academy has seen its best ever set of A Level results today and all of our students who applied to university have been offered a place.

 Thomas Clarkson Academy has seen its best ever set of A Level results today and all of our students who applied to university have been offered a place.

Jake Tuck, 18, will be going to study Maths at Derby University after achieving A in Maths, C in History and C in Physics.

He said: “I’m feeling really good. I got what I wanted. The teachers have been brilliant and they have pushed me to get these results.”

There will be some familiar faces on campus as Danielle Gribble, 18, will also be at Derby studying Accounting and Finance, and Kara Atkins, 18, will be studying Sociology. Danielle gained B in Business Studies, D in Sociology and E in EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) and Kara got B in EPQ, C in Sociology and D in English.

14-year-old Yousuf Bin-Suhayl Studied A Level Physics and Chemistry at TCA and acheieved A grades in both subjects. He said: “Studying here has been great fun and the teaching has been brilliant.”

Yousuf’s father Sohale Rahman said: “This place is amazing. It is really up to parents and the community to get the best out of the school. There is nothing stopping them. Thomas Clarkson has been his best learning experience thus far.”

Holly Beresford, 18, will be reading Forensic Science at Lincoln University and hopes to pursue a career as a forensic scientist. She gained A in Maths, B in Chemistry and C in Biology.

Katie Kierman, 18, has also won a place at Lincoln to study Zoology after gaining B in Biology, C in Chenistry and C in Geography.
