A new initiative has been launched by TCA’s head of sixth form to recognise positive behaviour both in and out of the classroom.

Student of the Week and Student of the Month have been set up so staff can nominate students for their hard work and positive attitude.

Since the scheme was launched at the beginning of term Students of the Week have received boxes of chocolates, while the Student of the Month was rewarded with a £15 ITunes voucher. Prizes will vary each month.

The winners are notified when their photos are displayed on a board in the sixth form.

Head of sixth form Jess Smith said: “Students have responded well to this additional reward and have become very competitive hoping to find their face displayed on the winners board!”
