Thomas Clarkson Academy students have the opportunity to take part in an amazing watersports trip to the south of France.

The 9-day trip to the Ardèche region during the summer holidays 2016 will include a 2-day descent of the Ardèche and an overnight bivvi.

Students will stay in a tented village in a beautiful woodland location, nestled between the banks of two rivers. The large private campsite has a café, swimming pool with lifeguard and volleyball areas, and provides healthy, nutritious meals.

Highlights of the trip will include the 2 day canoe descent of the Ardèche River with overnight bivvi, caving in local limestone caves, a river trek, rock climbing, abseiling and kayaking.

PE teacher Amy Anderson said: "The trip will provide memories that last a lifetime, and really is a must for all students mad for sport!"

The trip costs £550 and a £50 non-refundable deposit needs to be paid by Friday 12th December 2014 via Parent Pay.
