Science experiments brought excitement to the school today as physicists from the Institute of Physics demonstrated some impressive experiments.

Fires tornadoes, frozen flowers and smoke rings were all produced as Mel Jays and Peter Ticktin brought their science workshop into school.

Year 7 student Daniel Wright was so impressed that he asked for a selfie with the pair.

He said: “I thought it was really entertaining and has made me think about science in a completely different way.”

Mel Jays said: “The whole point of the show is about making science and physics fun and also making students realise that they use physics every day in their normal activities.”

The TCA science department has organised a series of events to celebrate Science Week.
