TCA’s social action group #bethechange is calling on fellow students and staff to donate to the cause which will buy goats for women across the world. They will use these to provide a second income for their families.

Each tutor group has a cash collecting bag and there will be a totaliser in the library.

The aim is to raise £3000 which will buy 100 goats (as each goat costs £30.)

Teacher Ben Arrowsmith said: “We Create Change is an empowerment campaign about collecting as much loose change as possible to buy goats to impoverished women around the world or build schools for children in countries where education is not necessarily the best. The goats will act as a second income to allowing them to sell the milk, create cheese to then sell, which then allows them to send their children to school to enhance their futures.”
