Year 6 pupils who will be joining TCA this September last week finding out all about the school.

The 240 primary pupils enjoyed a full timetable of lessons and were given a real taste of life at TCA.

They tried new sports in PE, did some French speaking, learned some new maths skills and worked with new materials in art.

Teacher Gemma Barber said: “The reason we hold a transitions week is so that the Year 6s can really familiarise themselves with the school. They can learn the layout of the building and where things are, meet the staff and make new friends. We find that it also relieves any anxiety that they may have about leaving primary school and starting secondary school.”
