Here is the final part in our series of individual stories about this year's GCSE results.

Cara Curran has battled illness and adversity to achieve her results. She has been ill for the past 18 months but she came in today to collect her results before she goes to hospital tomorrow for further treatment. She achieved a 6 in English language, 4s in English literature and maths, 2 Bs, 1 C and a Distinction*. Cara is hoping to stay at Thomas Clarkson Academy and study for her A levels.

Justinas Slicas arrived in the UK seven years ago from Lithuania. Justinas has achieved his desired results and is heading to college to study engineering. He is hoping to then undertake an apprenticeship with Anglian Water. He obtained 5 in Maths, 4 in English language and literature as well as 3Bs, 2Cs and 1D.

Well done to all of our students who are celebrating their GCSE results this year. Good luck to those who are going on to jobs or other training routes. For those returning to us in the Sixth Form, we look forward to having you back for the next phase in your learning journey.
