Race for Life at TCA

Published on Tuesday 04th July 2017

More than 170 people tackled the 5km Race for Life course around our grounds in aid of Cancer Research UK. Thanks to everyone who supported the event, which saw students, families, colleagues and friends walking, jogging or running the course.

The event was co-ordinated by PE teacher Amy Anderson who said: ‘Thanks so much to everyone who took part, or who helped out with the organisation and particular thanks go to Jason Bishop, our parent governor who presented medals as everyone crossed the finish line.

‘Race for Life is a great opportunity to raise money to support the very important work of Cancer Research UK.. If you would like to donate to this worthwhile cause then please visit https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/thomas-clarkson-academy

‘Sponsorship money can also be handed over in person to student services by 14 July. Thanks to everyone who took part or pledged money. Every penny makes a difference.’
