There were a number of student achievements at last week’s Climbing Club. The club meets on Fridays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm.

At last week’s meeting students Katarzyna Hyra, Klaidas Salickas and Dylan Ashman all got to the top of the wall for the first time.

Megan Sheldon got to the top blindfolded and Ermins Belte became a first-time belayer.

Several students are also working hard and supporting each other to overcome their fear of heights.

PE teacher Amy Anderson, who runs the club, said: “With sustained perseverance, I have no doubts they will reach their aspirations.

“Thank you to Miss Howitt and Miss Owens for coming to help out with climbing club.”
