Several events will be taking place at Thomas Clarkson Academy on Friday 15th March for Red Nose Day.

Following the successful endeavours to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society at TCA last week, the Head Boys and Girls of our three learning communities spoke in assemblies today to tell students what the plans are for Red Nose Day.

There will be various fundraising events throughout the day and it will be a non-uniform day.

However, we expect this to be a full learning day and the same expectation of good behaviour applies. We would be grateful for all parents and carers to reinforce this message with their sons and daughters.

Parents and carers also need to know that the following message has been issued throughout the assemblies:

  • Non school uniform must be appropriately modest
  • Normal jewellery rules apply
  • Full PE kit still applies
  • The bag rule remains the same

Students must all pay £1 to take part in the non-uniform day and payment must be made up front at the Red Nose desk in small Eden during lessons 1 and 4 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Fundraising events will include a cake stall during lesson 4.

Principal Clare Claxton said: “I fully expect us all to have a great day and raise lots of money for charity."
