Thomas Clarkson Academy students went to a meeting of the Wisbech Alzheimer’s Society to hand over money raised at a cake sale.

Our Parents In Partnership group raised £165.26 at the cake sale on March 1st.

The Parents In Partnership group was set up recently and the sale was its first event.

This morning (April 16th) students presented a cheque for the money raised to the group.

Students Jone Lipnickaite and Stacey Pitcher performed several songs to the group, both singing and playing guitar.

The group of students then played musical bingo and kurling with the group.

Head of King learning community, Sarah Loosemore, said: “This was a great opportunity for our students to meet with members of this important community group.

“The visit was fantastic and we have already made plans to return later this year.”

Our Parents In Partnership group is made up of parents who want to work with the Academy in lots of different ways. For more information about the group click here or email Sarah Loosemore at sloosemore@thomasclarkson.cambs.sch.uk
