The fabulous RAF Swing Wing Band is performing at our Act Theatre next month.

The 20-piece big band will be playing popular numbers from the 1940s, 1950s and 1960s and will feature one of the UK’s leading Big Band vocalists Matthew Ford.

The show is on Saturday, April 5th and starts at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £10.

It will be the second performance in the Act Theatre by the band, which officially opened the venue before a packed audience last March.

Principal Clare Claxton said: “We are delighted to welcome back the Swing Wing Band as their last performance received rave reviews from the audience.

“The Act Theatre is a fabulous venue to watch a live band and it promises to be another great night.”

Band Leader Gary Stephens said that he and the band were looking forward to returning to Wisbech as they are always assured of a very warm welcome.

All proceeds from the concert will be donated to local RAF charities.

Tickets are available from the Cat’s Pyjamas Emporium in Union Street, Wisbech or by calling Jan Hutchison on 01945 584595.
