Student awards for outstanding TCA staff
Two members of staff at Thomas Clarkson Academy have been nominated for awards by students who feel they have made a big impact on their lives.
Two members of staff at Thomas Clarkson Academy have been nominated for awards by students who feel they have made a big impact on their lives.
Laura Buckenham, a member of the school’s inclusion team, and Ben Arrowsmith, travel and tourism teacher and cover supervisor, did not know they had been nominated until they received invitations to the Young People’s Outstanding Achievement Awards ceremony to be held at Burgess Hall, St Ives, on November 21st. They will be accompanied by Principal Clare Claxton.
Mr Arrowsmith said: “It feels really special to have been nominated and makes you feel proud.”
Miss Buckenham added: “Receiving this award really makes you realise what a difference we make to our students.”
The awards have been organised by the Participation Service at Cambridgeshire County Council to recognise outstanding achievement in young people and professionals who work with them.
