A group of 26 students found their form when they hit the slopes in Austria at half term.

By the end of the week long trip to Obertauen, the group of students (from Years 8 to 13) who were all novice skiers had progressed from the beginners slopes to the more advanced red runs.

The action packed winter holiday saw the students hit the slopes for four hours each day followed by a series of activities in the evening, from cinema and bowling trips to a disco and going out for pizza.

Teacher James Hooper who along with Amy Anderson, Lizzie Russell and Liz Knowles and Oliver Mackett, accompanied the students on the trip said: “This was the first time in four years that we have run a ski trip and the students really enjoyed it.

“For all of them this was their first experience of skiing and they did really well. We had three ski instructors and were out on the slopes each day. Obertauen was a beautiful place.”
