Axe throwing, climbing and fencing at Caythorpe

Everything from axe throwing to zip-lining was enjoyed by our Year 8 students during a recent residential trip to Lincolnshire.

The group of 90 went to Caythorpe Court activity centre near Grantham where the emphasis was on taking part and trying new things.

Students were able to learn about abseiling, archery, fencing and problem-solving throughout the three day stay at the specialist centre.

“I must thank the team of staff who came on the trip, because without them this would not have been possible,” said Mr Winfield.

“Our students did themselves proud and PGL staff commented on how polite and well-behaved they were,” he added.

Caythorpe Court has 65 acres of space and has been designed for activity breaks with playing fields, sports hall and lake.
