TCA dancers selected to work with top dance company

The Inspire group, made up of nine dance students from Years 9-12, will be perform at the Norwich Playhouse in March after the academy was selected to take part in the Rambert Elements dance challenge.

The students will work with respected Rambert choreographer Alexander Whitley to create an original piece. The dance troupe will perform in the regional showcase in March and one school will be selected to perform at a central London theatre in June.

Dance teacher Lisa Tarsitano said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for our students and will really help with their understanding of dance.”

Miss Tarsitano will attend a workshop in October and be given a masterclass from the choreographer. The troupe will then be given a theme and piece of music to work from.

Rambert is the country’s oldest dance company having been founded in 1926. It is respected around the world and tours the UK throughout the year. A number of TCA students will be attending a Rambert  performance at the Norwich Theatre Royal in October.
