Students stage contemporary play

Talented students will stage a play about adolescence next month.

Talented students will stage a play about adolescence next month.

12 TCA actors will perform the Lucinda Coxon play “What are They Like?” on Wednesday, March 9th in our Act Theatre.

The students will also perform the play as part of the National Theatre Connections 500 festival at The Garage Theatre in Norwich in May.

TCA became involved in the festival after winning a bursary. The students could also perform the play in London if they impress the judges in Norwich.

Drama teacher Julie Wilcox said: “This is an amazing opportunity for the school and especially the students.

“They have been working really hard during rehearsals to really understand their characters and try some very different devices for the production. We hope that we can take this to London but just for us to be picked is great!”

Tickets are £1 for the Act Theatre performance and can be bought on the door. The performance starts at 7.30pm.
