Students Triumph at District Athletics Competition

Four students won first place in the Isle of Ely district athletics competition and will now go onto the next stage of the competition.

Four students won first place in the Isle of Ely district athletics competition and will now go onto the next stage of the competition.

Vakaris Adomaitis (Year 9), Harry Smith (Year 10), Tomasz Hajdukiewicz (Year 7) and Kacper Bembenek-Widuch Y7 all triumphed in their sports and will now go onto compete at the County Championships on June 11th.

The event took place at Lynnsport in King’s Lynn on Thursday (May 12th) and TCA students competed with students from six other schools from the area.

A team of 37 TCA students took part in the event with many of the students also making it through to the next round.

The field athletics competitors have been training with PE teacher Piotr Krawczyk during Session 6 on a Wednesday.

Mr Krawczyk said: “The students did really well and we will now be putting in an extra training session on a Friday in the run up to the county competition.”
