The captains of TCA’s Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 rugby teams have designed a new shirt for their teams to wear.
Year 7 captain Frank Etherington, Year 8 captain Harry Drew, Year 9 captain Jordan Ashman and captain of the Year 10 team Ethan Garford designed the shirt alongside clothing manufacturers Canterbury.
The four boys attended a workshop at Ely Rugby Club where the Rugby Football Union (RFU) led a session on the project, named the All Schools Project, and the importance of the rugby shirt.
Canterbury then led a session related to design and the boys got the chance to design a shirt, which will now be manufactured and provided to TCA for free as part of the project.
The All Schools Project also includes 10 hours a week of coaching for TCA students from an RFU representative and new equipment.
Head of PE Ben Smith said: “This was a great opportunity for the boys.”
