Leonie wins Horrible Histories quiz

Year 7 student Leonie Miller has been named the winner of the Learning Information Centre’s Horrible Histories quiz.

Year 7 student Leonie Miller has been named the winner of the Learning Information Centre’s Horrible Histories quiz.

The quiz began at the start of the new school year and the challenge was for students to fill in the blanks on a quiz sheet to complete the titles of 20 Horrible Histories books.

Horrible Histories is now a television series as well as a series of books, and the titles are popular in the Learning Information Centre.

Leonie was among a number of students who correctly named all 20 books and her entry was chosen at random from the top scoring entries.

She was presented with her prize – a Horrible Histories ‘Blitzed Brits’ book, a pencil and some sweets – in assembly.

Leader of the Learning Information Centre Debbie Trafford said: “We had a lot of entries and a lot of students got all 20 book titles right, but Leonie’s was picked from those entries.”

Leonie said she was pleased with her prize because she likes history.

The Learning Information Centre will be running more quizzes in the run up to Christmas.
