World Book Day Celebrations

In celebration of World Book Day, all students at Thomas Clarkson Academy have been issued a WBD token via their form tutors. These tokens can be redeemed for a free £1 WBD book at selected retailers until 23rd March. For more information on this year's free WBD titles and the terms and conditions, please visit their website.

To mark the occasion, all tutor groups were invited to participate in World Book Day quizzes and a joke book activity. Additionally, KS3 students were delighted to receive a free WBD book.

The event was wonderfully organised by our dedicated librarian, Miss Robinson. She shared her enthusiasm: "World Book Day is a wonderful opportunity to inspire a love of reading in our students. It's heartwarming to see their excitement and engagement with books. The fun activities and quizzes really brought the day to life, and we hope to foster a lifelong love of books and reading for pleasure."

Whole School Literacy Lead Mrs. Kember Whitfield also created a staff "shelfie" competition, where teachers shared photos of their bookshelves, adding to the fun and excitement of the day.

Stay tuned for more updates on our school's activities and events!
