Are you really a poet and just don't know it?

Monday is World Poetry Day and students are being invited to create their own and enter into an academy-wide competition.

You can use any style and either submit individually or as a group, and you can submit your entry via email or in person to Miss Robinson in the academy library.

And don't panic as you have until 4pm on Thursday, March 31 to get your entry in with a chance of winning a gift voucher.

If you are looking for any inspiration then come to the library and have a look. Or visit

Poetry can be anything from an entire story with thousands of lines to a limerick with just five. It needn't rhyme it hasn't got to be complicated - so get your imaginations working and we look forward to reading all the entries.
