Young Poets of the Year

Don't miss the chance to take part in one of the biggest awards for young people's poetry.

The Foyle Young Poets of the Year Award is for people aged between 11 and 17 and entry is completely free. You can also enter as many poems of any length that you like - on any theme.

Prizes will be given to 100 entrants and their work will be published in an anthology, they will have youth membership of The Poetry Society and mentoring, along with paid opportunities to write. The closing date is July 31, so don't leave it too late.

The top 15 winners will be offered a week-long writing retreat from The Poetry Society and other prizes include books and goodies.

Last year there were entries from 109 different countries as well as the four corners of the United Kingdom.
