Are you a champion reader?

Calling all keen readers in KS3 - you could be heading for the National Reading Champions Quiz later this year.

Our academy has registered to take part in this great event organised by the National Literacy Trust, and the only thing that's missing now is you.

If you know the name of Hermione's cat in the Harry Potter series, or the two main characters in the hit series Heartstopper then we have a place on our team just for you.

Aimed at students in Years 7, 8 and 9 the quiz is for readers of fiction and the questions are based on titles, characters, authors, brain teasers and story details from a wide range of genres.

You can represent our academy in the East of England Regional Heats which are being held on Wednesday, March 22. And, if we make it through as one of 23 regional winners, we will be heading to London for the national final where the National Reading Champions of 2023 will be crowned.

Test your knowledge:  What is the name of the awful Headteacher in Roald Dahl's Matilda?

Which two characters from The Beano have the same jumper?

In which book is there a dragon that lives beyond the grey mountains?

You probably know more than you think - register with Miss Robinson in our library during break or lunch. Places are limited, so don't wait too long.
