Read a title nominated for The Adrien Prize

The inaugural shortlist for a new literary prize celebrating positive portrayal of a main character with a disability has been announced.

You can visit our academy library and borrow a novel shortlisted for The Adrien Prize, which has been founded by author Elle McNicoll.

The prize is named after one her neurodivergent characters in her second novel 'Show Us Who You Are.'

"The world needs unapologetically neurodivergent characters," said Elle about creating a character with dyspraxia.

The new prize celebrates young adult fiction, and you will find copies of A Flash of Fireflies, by Aisha Bushby; The Secret of Haven Point, by Lisette Auton and Wider that Midnight, by Cerrie Burnell.
