I am PC Callum McGarvie’s replacement as the Safer Schools Officer.
I have been given 5 secondary schools across Fenland and I will be working from within the schools on a regular basis.
Some of what my role will include:
- Build rapport with the students
- Bridge the gap between the younger generation and policing
- Safeguarding
- Identify early on those who are at risk of becoming involved in crime/Anti Social Behaviour
- Educate around some law and legislation
- Provide presentations on specific areas of concern
- Be an alternative ear to listen
- Understand local issues and concerns
