Alison Harrison, one of the librarians from Comberton Village College, visited Thomas Clarkson Academy to shadow our librarian Debbie Trafford for a day.

Alison visited on Tuesday (February 26th) and wrote this piece about her time in school:

“I spent the day shadowing the library staff at the Thomas Clarkson Academy and found the whole day a real pleasure. The library attracted students who were keen to help and many tutor groups had great fun in rummaging amongst the shelves to find books to put in their book boxes.

“Both Mrs Trafford and Faith Howland were generous with their time and explaining their thinking, and the various changes and developments the library had been through.

“A short trip to Wisbech museum to pick up some boards about Thomas Clarkson for the History department provided me with an opportunity to brush up on my knowledge about him, and provided a photo opportunity and a chat with the Principal.

“I have to say that the visit was very informative, and the pupils and staff all polite and welcoming. I will be looking to visit again.”
