Thomas Clarkson Academy’s newly established Parents In Partnership group raised more than £145 for charity with its first event, a cake sale.

Thomas Clarkson Academy’s newly established Parents In Partnership group raised more than £145 for charity with its first event, a cake sale.

Members of the group set up their stall along with members of our student councils in the restaurant at lunchtime on Friday 1st March.

Proceeds from the sale will go to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society spoke about the condition and their work in the King and Madiba assemblies in the week leading up to the sale.

Head of King learning community, Sarah Loosemore, said: “The cakes were selling very quickly and lots of students got involved by buying some, so thank you to students and staff for their support.

“We raised more than £145, which is absolutely fantastic.”

Our Parents In Partnership group is made up of parents who want to work with the Academy in lots of different ways.
