New parent governor

TCA would like to welcome new parent governor Fiona Godfrey to the academy’s governing body.

Fiona, who has lived in Wisbech for 17 years, has two children, one in Year 9 and another in primary school due to move up to TCA soon.

She has recently started working at the academy as an exams invigilator and has also been involved in the COVID-19 testing here.

She said: “My reason for becoming a parent governor is to become involved in the education of children and to help the next generation. I also hope this in turn leads to learning new skills for my own personal development.

“Over recent years, Thomas Clarkson Academy has improved immensely and offers many great opportunities for the young people of Wisbech. In my role as parent governor, I would like to see this continue and the school, pupils and town to really flourish.”
