TCA students rubbed shoulders with tennis royalty when they bumped into Andy Murray on a recent school trip to Wimbledon.

Sports teachers Kirstie Smith, Amy Anderson and James Hooper took 24 students on a sports-packed tour of the All England Club and Twickenham.

After a brief stop for photos and autographs the group had tickets to Court 2 with an exciting line-up of tennis featuring Na Li, David Ferrer and Jo Wilfried Tsonga.

Miss Smith said: “The day was an unforgettable experience for the students and teachers.”

Day 2 was spent on a tour of Twickenham Stadium, the home of England Rugby.

The students were taken through the history of the stadium and visited the changing rooms and a box, before visiting the Twickenham museum.

Miss Smith added: “Overall the trip was a huge success, and that was mostly down to the impeccable behaviour from the students.”
