A group of Year 10 students who have been chosen to be Anne Frank Ambassadors visited The Nottingham Holocaust Memorial Centre.

The students were chosen as Ambassadors based on the work they had done with the Anne Frank Trust at TCA to spread Anne’s story.

They were given a tour of the museum which details the Jewish experience from pre-Nazi life all the way through to liberation from the Concentration camps, and explored the gardens where there are memorials to those who died during the Holocaust.

Finally, they heard from a Holocaust survivor who was rescued from Germany on the Kindertransport after the Nazis came into power.

The students also travelled to Peterborough Cathedral to develop a lesson for Primary age children teaching them about Anne Frank's story.

Humanities teacher Lois Russell said: “The students embraced this experience in an incredibly mature manner and were a credit to the school.”
