Thomas Clarkson Academy Principal Clare Claxton rose to the ice bucket challenge and received a thorough soaking to raise money and awareness of motor neurone disease.
Mrs Claxton said: “I requested a ‘bucket and spade’ sized bucket since the rules do not stipulate the size of the bucket. I should have known better than to believe my staff would accede to this request! We have all learnt a lot about motor neurone disease, raised a good deal of money and enjoyed the laughter.”
In turn, Mrs Claxton nominated Assistant Principal David Bliss and Progress Leader Gerwyn Williams who also got a super-sized soaking from their colleagues.
