Budding musicians at TCA can join the newly-formed String Club during session 6 enrichment activities.
The group has been set up by Humanities teacher Jacob Keet who has been impressed by the turn-out so far.
The group’s initial meeting attracted 11 musicians from complete beginners to more experienced players, on a range of string instruments, including violin, guitar and cello.
Instruments can be borrowed from the school and everyone is welcome to join.
Mr Keet said: “If you would like to make music with others in a fun and exciting way on the violin, cello or guitar, then the new String Club is for you. Whether you’re a complete beginner or have some musical experience, come and join us this term – our music will include everything from medieval to modern, dance to trance, baroque to rock. So come and join us in Session 6 every Monday for what will be a great time of music-making!
String group is open to all students who already play, or wish to begin, violin, cello or guitar. Students can sign up via their tutor.
