Design Technology students in Years 7 and 8 have come up with some creative ways of reusing plastic bottles during lessons about sustainability.

The students have been learning about the 6 Rs – repairing, refusing, reusing, reducing, recycling and rethinking – and turned their plastic bottles into a variety of objects including lampshades, piggy banks and vases.

Teacher Ann Trett said: “Their designs have been outstanding and will be displayed in the school. They have come up with some really creative ways of recycling.”
