TCA sixth form student Albert Smith took third place in a recent county level badminton competition.
Albert, who is TCA’s deputy head boy, plays for West Norfolk badminton club and took part in the competition while at a training camp in Milton Keynes where he was trained by former England stars Paul Truman and Julia Mann.
He said: “I really enjoy my sports and hope to keep on playing for as long as I can. I’m hoping to play rugby at university when I go to study biology and would like a career as a marine biologist.”
Albert, who has lived in the UK for a year after being raised in Portugal, also represents Wisbech in football and rugby and plays basketball for the school, as well as studying for his A Levels at TCA. He is also one of the school’s Young Interpreters, helping students with English as an additional language.
