Thomas Clarkson Academy students Sophie Jackson and Amy Bassi-Cullen took part in a workshop with dance troupe Diversity, after Sophie won a golden ticket on a recent school trip.

Sophie, Year 8, was among a group of students taken to see the Limitless Reboot tour at the FM Arena in Nottingham on 9th December, and found a golden ticket in her programme telling her she had won a day with Diversity. She chose to take her friend Amy (also Year 8) with her and the pair enjoyed an action-packed day.

It began with a tour around the Danceworks studio where Diversity are based and the girls were amazed with the costume department where they saw several of Diversity’s more famous costumes.

They then took part in a session led by Perry who taught them a section from the show they had won their tickets at. Diversity’s leader Ashley Banjo then joined the session which ended with some of the group running through the routine they had learned.

Sophie said: “It was amazing. Ashley Banjo taught us a warm-up dance and Perry taught us part of the routine we saw at the show. The studio we danced in was the one you see on the TV shows but it was even better than I imagined.”
