Get Swapping

A book swap is taking place all this week as part of the celebrations for World Book Day on Thursday (March 5th).

Students are being asked to head to the library with any unwanted books and swap them for a new read.

Students can bring in and swap as many books as they like and the only criteria is that the books are age appropriate and in good condition.

Librarian Debbie Trafford said: “This is a great way for students to pick up some new reads and introduce themselves to different authors. There is no cost involved, so I would urge students to look out any unwanted books and exchange them.”

Students should ask parental permission before bringing their books in.

Following on from last year’s successful World Book Day event, staff will once again this Thursday be dressing as iconic literary characters. Students can take part in a quiz to guess which character each staff member is dressed as and can nominate a winner for best costume.
