Our visitors were enthusiastic to engage students who had the chance to quiz them about the world of work, further and higher education and apprenticeships.

There was even a kestrel as Fens Falconry, of Wisbech St Mary, took part in the popular event which was open to all students throughout the day.

Staff from a number of colleges in the area, including the College of West Anglia, Peterborough and Stamford, were on hand to provide insights into further education and training.

The Hudson Leisure Centre in Wisbech was also represented and staff encouraged students to be motivated about their own health and fitness. 

Degree opportunities at Bishop Grosseteste University and Lincoln University were also on offer.

A range of companies took part in the event, including Anglian Water, Astra Zeneca, Vine Law, Wheelers, Ministry of Defence, HMP Whitemoor and the Cambridgeshire fire and rescue service.

Students enjoyed the event, particularly the challenges set by companies as part of the careers fair.
