Students will keep their bags in their lockers under a new policy which has come into effect as of this week.

Head of the King Learning Community Sarah Loosemore said: “It is an expectation now that all students place their bags in their lockers. This is part of the quest to continue making improvements at Thomas Clarkson Academy.

“Lockers have been issued to students to support their learning and it is an expectation that they will organise themselves in order to do this.

“Therefore bags will be left in lockers and students will take what they need to their lessons.

“The other Brooke Weston Academies have gone through this process and it has had a marked impact on learning and behaviour across those Academies. We intend for it to be the same here.”
