Happy Jólabókaflóð
It’s almost that time of year again - no, not just Christmas - also the brilliant tradition from Iceland which sees us snuggle up with a good book on December 24.
The Jólabókaflóð (yo-la-bok-a-flot) involves gifting books to each other and then sitting in front of a fire with hot chocolate ready to read them immediately.
And in the spirit of such a wonderful idea, our academy librarian Miss Robinson is rewarding our top readers with a chocolate selection box and a book of their choice to take home and enjoy on Christmas Eve.
Congratulations to the top borrowers: Kaitlyn (Year 7), Oliver (Year 8), Maria and Katelynn (Year 9), Olegs (Year 10), Lily (Year 11) and Sharon from the sixth form. Also to Mrs Chilvers, the top staff borrower!
