A day of airport life for students

Students from our Cooper Centre who have been learning about airports visited Stansted Airport to see what life at an airport is like.

The trip took place on Monday, October 15.

Lead teacher for the Cooper Centre, Mary Harper, said: “The day was absolutely lovely. We have been doing airports as a topic so we went to Stansted to see the layout of the airport.

“We explored the airport, then the students thought up some questions and asked various people in uniform. My group interviewed a policeman and a check-in girl.”

During their unit on airports the students have learnt about aviation pioneers the Wright brothers, air miles and food miles, and made paper planes.
