Anglian Water offers insights into future career options
A career working with water and the different roles it offers was explained by a visitor to our academy when he shared an insight into life at Anglian Water.
We work with a variety of employers who can offer information and guidance for opportunities after year 11, and a number of our previous students have already worked with Anglian Water on its construction programme.
The company has a one-year course at the College of West Anglia, at the Wisbech campus, offering a Level Two qualification, which means students are work-ready.
“The course provides practical skills, hands-on learning and real site experience while learning alongside experienced employees from Anglian Water and partner companies,” said Richard Cartwright (pictured with our students), strategic alliances and collaborative skills co-ordinator.
“Students have the opportunity to try a career while studying, and are guaranteed a job interview with Anglian Water and partner companies once they have completed their studies,” said Mr Cartwright.
Our Careers Leader Sharon Smith said: “We engage with a number of different employers across the area with our post-16 students so they can have opportunities, insights into their future and to raise their aspirations.”
