Students from Years 10 and 12 went along to the Mission Possible careers event organised by the Skills Service.
Held at the Peterborough School, the careers fair showed the range of career options and opportunities available to students Post 16. This included information about apprenticeships, trainees schemes, college and universities and employers.
CEIAG Ambassador Vicky Read said: “Students had a great day as there was lots of different stands and of interactive challenges. There were snakes to hold (from the animal care centre); music to listen to from bands/music production groups; a helicopter to sit in and guns to handle with the army, plus lots more.”
Mrs Read added: “The students came away with more information about what local employers have to offer. A number were particularly interested in specific apprenticeships or courses and those who weren’t sure began to explore different career options.
“It also encouraged them to approach and talk to professionals in various fields and learn what employers want from an employee.”
