Students showed off the Academy’s new uniform on the first day of term.

Pupils in Years 7 and 11 were the first to wear the new uniform, which includes a black blazer featuring the Academy’s logo, when they started the new term on Wednesday (September 5).

Students will wear the blazer with a white shirt, and black trousers or skirt. Their black and white striped tie includes a stripe in the colour of the student’s learning community – green stripes for students in the King learning community, yellow for the Pankhurst learning community and blue for members of the Madiba learning community.

The rest of the Academy’s students returned to school for the new term on Thursday (September 6) wearing the new uniform.

Shayna Bennington, a former pupil at Elm Road Primary School in Wisbech, was among the Year 7s starting at the Academy on Wednesday.

Shayna, who will be a member of the Academy’s King learning community, said: “I was really nervous about starting school but everyone has been very friendly. I like the uniform.”
