Wisbech Reads Winners

Well done to everyone who took part in the Wisbech Reads competition that was organised by TCA’s librarian Mrs Trafford. The winners were recently announced and the they were presented with their prizes by author Julian Sedgwick and Margaret Barwell from Wisbech Rotary Club.

Well done to everyone who took part in the Wisbech Reads competition that was organised by TCA’s librarian Mrs Trafford. The winners were recently announced and the they were presented with their prizes by author Julian Sedgwick and Margaret Barwell from Wisbech Rotary Club.

 The students had to write an original and compelling piece with the title ‘In Times of Great Need.’ The competition was open to students from across Wisbech and all entries were read and judged by members of the Rotary Club. First prize winners received a £25 voucher, with a £15 voucher for those who came second and £10 for third placed winners. All entrants received a certificate and book.

 Mrs Trafford said: ‘There was an enthusiastic response and entries were judged on creativity, originality, reader engagement and the use of literary devices. Well done to everyone who took part and thanks to Wisbech Rotary Club for kindly donating the vouchers.’
