The Under 16 girls' football team have become the most successful girls’ football team TCA has ever had after reaching the fourth round of the National Cup.

The girls recently beat Nene Park Academy and The Voyager Academy to progress to the fourth round and last week they played against Countesthorpe Community College from South Leicestershire.

Despite making a good start to the game, their opponents scored twice in the first half.

The TCA girls also had a strong start to the second half, with a few chances for strikers Jade Chamberlain and Casey Ward, but were unable to convert.

The final score was 4-0 to Countesthorpe and unfortunately means the end of the National Cup journey for the TCA Under 16 girls.

Coach Amy Anderson said: “The girls should be very proud of their achievement – they are the most successful girls' football team ever at Thomas Clarkson.”
